Around the year 2020, a new format for serving beer, which had its genesis in Tepito, became popular throughout Mexico. Of course we are talking about the famous “licuachelas” which are nothing more than micheladas served in a huge blender glass, decorated and frosted. The most famous place to buy them is undoubtedly the Dolls Drinks located in the aforementioned neighborhood of Mexico City. A place that even became a kind of tourist attraction, visited by personalities from the media, influencers and even singers.

Last night of Wednesday, May 31, the owners of said micheladas place were riddled with bullets by two people aboard a motorcycle, in the Gustavo A Madero mayor’s office. Although the authorities have not issued an official statement as such with the details of the investigation, many media outlets point out that it was revenge as a result of a refusal of extortion.

The victims, named Diana Odaly Rodríguez and Adrián Mendoza, were known above all for being the owners of Dolls Drinks, the beer hall turned bar that also hosts events and musical performances.

The place became popular in such a way that even HBO Max presented the first preview of the VGLY series there, television programs like Venga la Alegría have given it special spaces in their segments and many personalities have come to twerk for a while with a licuachela in hand. .

Just two years and a few months after opening its doors, the Dolls Drinks are already a benchmark for partygoers in Mexico. Therefore, there are many reporters and content creators who have managed to enter the premises to document what really happens on Sundays in the most famous place in Tepito.

A couple of months ago, journalist and news anchor Paola Rojas visited Dolls Drinks to do a report and took a photo with the most famous figure in the place, known as Barbie Zhezit. Likewise, the content creator Adrian Marcelo went to that place to capture in images how the party is lived inside the famous “chelas” factory.

In the same way, many television programs such as Venga la Alegría have invited the hosts of the Dolls to their program to prepare the famous licuachelas with them. The same case occurred with the radio program La Mejor hosted by Rafa Balderrama.

But the most striking visits are undoubtedly that of the couple of the moment. Not long ago Christian Nodal and Cazzu were in Tepito to record a music video in the company of the Santa Fe Klan. The three of them took advantage of the trip and visited the Dolls Drinks on the way.

The “Botella tras botella” singer took photo after photo with various fans and with the hostess of the venue, although it is unknown how many liqueurs he was able to enjoy. Also his current partner, Cazzu, and the rapper Santa Fe Klan took pictures in the place with licuachela in hand.

But since 2022 celebrity visits are a thing of every Sunday. Exactly a year ago, all the members of Grupo Caliber went to the Dolls to conduct an interview for a print media. They certainly couldn’t help but order something from the menu. The influencers Gomita and Coreano Vlogs have also visited the Dolls.

The premises located at Jesús Carranza No.35 in Colonia Morelos, have also been suitable for events.
