The five detainees during the search of the finance company Black Wallstreet Capital could be released during the early hours of June 1, after a control judge determined that the evidence presented by the Public Ministry was not sustainable.

According to an interview that the legal defender gave to Ciro Gómez Leyva in Imagen, in the hearing on May 31, the judge determined that the people were released by dismissal.
“The federal judge assumed competence to hear the facts, subject of the investigation that have endured the arrest of these five people from Black Wallstreet Capital and after listening to the defense arguments, the federal judge considered that a dismissal should indeed be issued,” explained the lawyer Virgilio Tanús.
He explained that an acquittal should be given in favor of the five detainees, with which the charges for which they were detained are annulled. He added that in this case the presence of a “corrupting effect” is clear, that is, that everything was “tainted at its origin and with the intention of incriminating innocent people by the authorities of Mexico City.”

He assured that the only crime that would have been committed in this case is not by the five detainees, but by the SSC police officers and the capital’s Attorney General’s Office who participated in the search.
Last April, elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City (SSC-CDMX) formalized a search warrant in the company building, located in the Anzures neighborhood, for the presumption of money laundering crimes.
