Matías Camisani: “People who know me would never tell me that I am a playboy or that I am lazy”

Matías Camisani spoke about his separation from Dolores Barreiro

Matías Camisani was in a relationship with Dolores Barreiro for more than 20 years and they formed a large family with five children: Valentino, Salvador, Milo, Suria and Indra. In 2019, they announced their final separation and there were rumors about some differences they had regarding money issues in the divorce.

Although the musician has a low profile, he was present at the launch of the film Blondi, starring and directed by Dolores Fonzi. In Intruders (America), they chatted with Matías about various topics. “I was invited by Dolores to the premiere of the film and I am participating in a very brief scene. It is a luxury for me to be among these first-class actors, ”he said at the beginning of the interview.

When asked about his separation from the mother of his children, the artist replied: “It’s like any painful separation, having five more children involved, but it’s a whole process that begins and ends. We are doing very well now.”

When they asked him if it was true that he had sued Barreiro for money, he replied: “It’s all a lie, I’m not going to join in denying or lying… You would have to ask those who invent because they never show their faces. The reality is that the people who know me would never say that I am a playboy or that I am lazy and do not like to do anything. What happens is that my activity was never exposed as that of Dolores. People will draw their own conclusions but it is each one’s problem”.

In 2020, the musician had been invited to the PH, Podemos Hablar (Telefe) cycle and caused surprise when he assured that he could not be a friend of Dolores after the breakup. “You can, but it’s not my case,” Camisani immediately clarified. “I know many cases that work very well as friends between ex-partners. But there are other cases that are not, ”he said.

“Aren’t you friends with Dolores (Barreiro)?” Andy Kusnetzoff wanted to know. “No, not friends. We are parents of our children, but we are both in a couple, each one on his own and we are very well like that. We were together 22 years, ”he explained.

“After 22 years it is very rare to go to…”, commented the driver incisively. “Yes, it is very rare but it is necessary that it be so. I am in a relationship and also to protect my partner I prefer to have a distant relationship with Dolores. Still, I don’t think it’s something that one sets out to do. It would seem strange to me to propose that I have a good relationship, ”he assured. Lastly, he recounted: “The boys live in their mother’s house and come on weekends… the younger ones always; the older ones, as they are teenagers, have other plans, but we’ll see each other”.

This summer, the model whitewashed her relationship with the polo player Santiago Gómez Romero. In Punta del Este, the couple was very much in love in the first days of 2023, especially considering that she is part of a gastronomic venture in the area and she could be seen there every night accompanying diners and trying to add followers to this Italian food proposal.
