The French supermarket chain Carrefour wants to cut nearly a thousand jobs at its various headquarters in its home country. This is reported by various media.

Carrefour already announced in November that it wants to save 4 billion euros in costs in the European headquarters, including by cutting personnel costs. CEO Alexandre Bompard did not give details at the time.
The company itself does not want to comment on the messages. The French trade unions say they are not yet aware.
