Days ago, the existence of the lawyer Óscar Nieves Vela, who has unregistered visits to the Government Palace, became known as a “shadow adviser.” At first he was linked to the ‘Gangsters of Politics’ case, but now he is linked to another plot.

According to a note in the newspaper La República, Nieves has made more than 1,700 calls and text messages with members of the criminal network ‘Los Cuellos Blancos del Puerto’. According to a report prepared by the Division of High Complexity Crimes of the Peruvian National Police (PNP), the lawyer communicated with Iván Noguera, Guido Aguila, Julio Gutiérrez, Herbert Marcelo, Orlando Velásquez, who were part of the missing National Council of the Magistracy (CNM).

Nieves and Noguera spoke 113 times. Meanwhile, the apparent legal advisor of Boluarte Zegarra called Aguila, former president of the CNM, 625 times. With Gutiérrez he did it 1,028 times between September 1, 2016 and May 19, 2018. However, they were not the only ones.

In addition, the unknown visitor of the president also with the businessman José Luis Cavassa, who was an operator of the White Collars. Precisely, Nieves and Cavassa were investigated for having participated in the so-called “Huanucazo” that launched a fraudulent operation that favored former President Alberto Fujimori in the 1995 general elections.
