Vox has achieved it. The formation of Abascal has become essential so that the right can govern in five autonomous communities during the next four years and this will remind the Popular Party in the negotiations to agree on a government that are expected to be difficult. This was the objective that the ultra-right had set for itself, which was looking for a good result in these elections to reinforce its position as an unavoidable partner of Alberto Núñez Feijóo in his desire to reach Moncloa in the next general elections, which will be held in order to anus.
The seats that Abascal’s party has obtained in the regional parliaments of the Valencian Community (13), Aragon (7), the Balearic Islands (8), Cantabria (4), Extremadura (5) and Murcia (9) will be essential for the popular can take charge of these autonomous governments. And Vox will charge dearly for its support, as its president has already warned, who has stressed that his party will not give gifts to anyone and that they will not accept “blackmail or swallow them.”

From the national headquarters of Vox, in a speech clearly addressed to Feijóo and already thinking about the generals, Abascal has assured that his party will act “with responsibility and patriotism”, but also “firmly”. The leader of the Spanish far-right has highlighted that the results of this 28M position his party as “absolutely necessary” to build the alternative to Pedro Sánchez’s socialism.
Abascal has celebrated that Vox has been the formation that has grown the most in the elections, in which the percentage of support in the municipal elections has doubled, from 3.56% in 2019 to the current 7.19%, and went from 530 councilors to more than 1,700 and from 47 regional deputies to 119. “These results are very good for the doomsayers of the demise of Vox to abandon all hope,” he stressed, but he has asked not to “throw the bells flying”, because the ultimate decision It is in the hands of the PP.

In this way, it has not only consolidated itself as the third force in these elections, but it has also revalidated its weight on the Spanish political map. Likewise, being able to form part of other autonomous governments, in a replica of the coalition at the head of Castilla y León, will allow it to normalize -even more- its presence in the institutions.
In addition, Abascal wanted to highlight the entry of his party into symbolic places for them such as the General Meetings of Álava or the Parliament of Navarra, as well as the “significant progress” in the municipalities of Catalonia, where it has gone from three councilors to more than 130 and achieved representation in all provincial capitals.
For the Vox leader, the most important thing that election day leaves behind is that Vox becomes a “decisive” party for the alternative in Murcia, Aragon, the Balearic Islands, Cantabria, the Valencian Community and Extremadura and in a third of the city councils of the capitals of province.
