On the night of this Tuesday, May 23, a strong fire broke out at the Lázaro Cárdenas Refinery located in Minatitlán in Veracruz.

According to first reports, the fire would have started at the main entrance of the plant, to which elements of Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) immediately arrived. State Civil Protection explained that the incident began at 10:20 p.m. at the facilities of the Lázaro Cárdenas del Río Refinery in the Minatitlán Colonia Obrera.
