Ringo Starr is “ready to rock” on his US tour that kicks off Friday. The former Beatles drummer is very excited to perform with his All Starr Band and has therefore asked for as few days off as possible during the tour.
“I don’t want to sit in a hotel and relax for three days in a row. I want to go out and play, that’s just the way I am. I love that,” said the 82-year-old Briton on Wednesday at a press conference in Los Angeles, one of the cities he visits during his tour.
Despite the years counting down, Starr feels well enough to perform. “It’s never been tiring, I love performing.”
Starr was actually supposed to go on tour last year, but had to cancel the concert series due to a corona infection.
