Sporting director Jordi Cruijff will leave FC Barcelona at the end of the season. The former footballer has been employed by the Spanish champion since mid-2021. Last week, technical director Mateu Alemany already left the Camp Nou.
Cruijff will remain with Barcelona until June 30. The former midfielder joined in the summer of 2020 as a technical advisor. He has since played an important role in the buying and selling policy of the Catalan superpower.
Cruijff was appointed as sporting director in 2021. He previously had a similar role with AEK Larnaca (Cyprus) and Maccabi Tel Aviv (Israel). He also coached Tel Aviv, the Chinese clubs Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic and Shenzhen FC and the national team of Ecuador.
