Inter became the first finalist in the Champions League after eliminating Milan in the Madonnina derby (3-0 on aggregate) and will again seek to rub shoulders with the honeys of success in the most important competition in Europe against the winner of the other semifinal that Manchester City and Real Madrid will star tomorrow in England, who have just drawn a 1-1 draw in the first leg at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

Despite some versions indicating that the venue for the 2022/23 Champions League final could change its original venue for political reasons, UEFA ratified the Turkish capital as the host of the decisive duel. “The 2023 Champions League final will be played in Istanbul as scheduled, on June 10. UEFA has not had discussions to the contrary with any political institutions, governments or national football associations,” the organization remarked in a statement. Wembley Stadium, in London, was even mentioned as a Plan B in case of dismissing Atatürk’s Olympian.

Inter’s rival will be Manchester City or Real Madrid. In case it is the cast of Pep Guardiola, the Italians would play a final against an English club for the first time. Los Ciudadanos never won the Champions League and only reached one final, which they lost in 2021 against Liverpool. If the meringues prevail, the Neroazzurri would once again play heads-up for glory as happened in 1964. The Spanish club is the top winner of the competition with 14 titles and only lost three finals.
