The experts at the scene of the assassin attack
It is not the first time that they have shot at service stations in Rosario. In November 2021 there was a series of attacks against properties located in Rosario and in the neighboring city of Villa Gobernador Gálvez. All were later awarded by the Shooting Unit of the Public Prosecution Ministry to the alleged organization headed by Máximo Ariel “Viejo” Cantero, historical founder of Los Monos.
Due to the number of consecutive events that occurred in the week prior to the 2021 general legislative elections, the Chamber of Service Stations made the decision not to work the night shift for several days, since the shootings were taking place in that time slot.
In that saga of attacks, schools and gastronomic establishments that had customers inside were also shot. One of the most remembered cases is the attack on the El Establo restaurant, one of the emblematic restaurants on Avenida Pellegrini, where one of the cooks was shot in the back and all the diners ended up lying on the ground.
