After several days of turbulence in Paris, following the club’s sanction and its subsequent video apologizing, PSG lifted Lionel Messi’s sanction and officially announced his return to training with a post on their social media.

“Leo Messi returns to training this Monday morning,” reported the French entity in its official accounts along with a photo of the Argentine playing the ball at the Camp des Loges. According to Le Parisien, La Pulga trained alone while his teammates rest after Sunday’s 3-1 win over Troyes.

The misunderstanding occurred after the absence of the Rosario star in training last Monday became known. While his teammates exercised in the sports center after what was the defeat against Lorient in the Parc des Princes, the former FC Barcelona showed up on his social networks with his family in Saudi Arabia, the place he came to meet with trade agreements.

While Messi participated in different events on the Asian continent after he was appointed as a tourist ambassador last year, great discomfort was evident from Paris and the sanctions were not long in coming. Hours later, the media reported what finally ended up happening: a sports and financial fine.

The Argentine was going to spend two weeks without activity (neither training nor matches) and without receiving the part of the salary corresponding to that number of days suspended. On his return from Arabia, however, Messi used his social networks to apologize and explain what had happened.

“Hello, well… I wanted to make this video because of everything that is happening. First of all, ask my teammates and the club for forgiveness ”, La Pulga began. “I honestly thought that we were going to have a free time after the game, as had been the case during the previous weeks. I had organized this trip to Arabia, which I had previously canceled and I couldn’t. I repeat again: apologize for what I did. Here I am waiting for what the club decides, nothing more. A hug ”, he sentenced.

The man from Rosario, who had not trained that week, was absent in what ended up being Paris Saint Germain’s 3-1 victory against Troyes. Now, he returned to training and everything seems to indicate that he will be present in the duel against Ajaccio.

This misunderstanding occurred amid uncertainty about the future of the footballer, who ends his contract with PSG on June 30. Despite what happened, from France they indicated that the management leadership of the Parisian team plans to offer him a new offer to renew his relationship with the institution.

La Pulga, however, will have the future in their hands and a number of proposals to evaluate, including a possible return to FC Barcelona after what was his departure last August 2021, a multimillion-dollar offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal and an offer from Inter Miami, in conjunction with MLS.
