With only a few days left until the release of Book Club: The Next Chapter (2023) in the cinema, the first reviews are trickling out. The positive words about the sequel to Book Club (2018) hold great promise for the new comedy.
‘Lovely romantic’
The new film starring Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen scores well enough according to critics and is “lovely romantic” according to the Variety film critic. Although the sequel lacks depth on certain points, according to some, the viewer is nevertheless left with beautiful feelings, it sounds like.
The stakes seem a little lower when our heroines go on a bachelorette vacation. But the actors do better.
