Tour De France: In The Heart Of The Peloton (2023), or Tour De France: Unchained in English, will be released on Netflix this summer. The streaming service announces that the series will premiere in June.

Netflix is following everyone on the tour, from riders to sports directors, to understand the many interests of “a race that has become a true international symbol,” according to the streaming service. Netflix specifically dives into seven iconic teams from the preparation phase to the finish in Paris: AG2R Citroën Team, Alpecin-Fenix, EF Education-EasyPost, Groupama-FDJ cycling Team, Ineos Grenadiers, Team Jumbo-Visma and Team Quick-Step AlphaVinyl.

Big budget
The series reportedly cost a total of 8 million euros to make, about 1 million euros per episode. ASO, the organizer of the Tour de France, and broadcaster France Televisions each received €250,000. The remaining €500,000 was split among the eight teams participating in the series, earning €62,000 each.
