The discount on the payment of the electricity bill is known as the 1C rate and is exclusively intended for services that use energy for domestic use.
In order to access this discount, it is necessary that the electricity connection be individually in each home, and that the loads are not considered high consumption. In addition, the services will only be supplied in low voltage and no other general use rate shall be applied.
The discount is part of the CFE heat subsidy, and it is not necessary for people to request it, since the company will apply it directly in the aforementioned states.

On the other hand, it is important to remember that the Federal Electricity Commission, which is directed by Manuel Bartlett, has been criticized on several occasions for the high costs of electricity rates. The application of discounts in the states where the temperature is high is a good measure, but there is still a lot to be done to make the costs of electricity more affordable for the general population.
Although it depends on each locality, the CFE contemplates the summer period between February and October, in addition to offering certain rates, depending on the minimum average temperature.
These are the classifications of the rates depending on the temperature in each location:
– Rate 1A, 25 degrees Celsius minimum average temperature in summer.
– Rate 1B, 28 degrees Celsius.
– Rate 1C, 30 degrees Celsius.
– Rate 1D, 31 degrees Celsius.
– Tarida 1E, 32 degrees Celsius.
– Rate 1F, 33 degrees Celsius.

Every two months, the CFE sends the recognized electricity bills to thousands of citizens in Mexico, where the consumption that was made in each home during that period is appreciated, so it will be important to consider paying it to avoid extra charges in the future, such as the of reconnection.
According to the government agency, people will only have 15 days after the cutoff to pay for the reconnection, which is 58 pesos per month; 80 pesos bimonthly and 91 pesos monthly or bimonthly (2 or 3).
Once the company receives the set amount, it must send a team of specialists to reactivate the service during the day, in the city and more than three days if it is in a rural area.
