Railway chaos this Thursday morning in Italy. The derailment of several wagons of a freight train near the Castello station in Florence has forced the suspension of circulation in a large part of the country, both high-speed and traditional trains. Thus, the connection between the north and the south of the peninsula was interrupted.
“I have to queue to change my ticket to another train and then see if I can get another train today,” says a tourist.
The accident would have knocked down poles and turrets with the cables that supply electricity to the locomotives.
The causes of the accident are unknown at this time.
