A pregnant woman forced by an airline to get on all fours to pick up her children’s popcorn has sparked outrage on Twitter, reaching more than 3.7 million views in less than 24 hours.
“The air hostesses of [United Airline] just made my 22 week pregnant wife traveling with five and two year olds get on all fours to pick up my youngest daughter’s mess of popcorn, Major League Baseball pitcher Anthony wrote on Sunday Bass on Twitter. Are you kidding me?!?!”
Five-month-pregnant Sydney Rae James was reportedly approached by the flight attendant with a trash bag and wet wipes, informing her that the captain wanted her to pick up every piece, according to her sister Jessie James Decker on Twitter, The Independent reported.

«[Elle] cried in the driveway, completely humiliated and exhausted with her children. As everyone watched, she detailed. Well done United.”
The fiery tweet, taken up by television host Chrissy Teigen, immediately provoked strong reactions from Internet users, on one side and on the other.
While many were quick to defend the pregnant woman, others found the reaction disproportionate.
“Oh, for God’s sake. They are two and five, a perfect age to give them a little cleanup job after their mess. It’s called a lesson in life and family teamwork, ”reacted a surfer in particular.
“I think the key word here is ‘pregnant’! Never assume the health of a pregnant woman! Respect her,” wrote another.
According to the words of the launcher, however, it would be the airline that offered the snack to the two young children.
“I was rolling my eyes until I read that United gave them the popcorn,” commented a third user. Is there a messier dry snack on earth? If an airline gives someone popcorn, they look for it.”
