The discovery surprised the customs agents stationed in the control of Uspallata, in the province of Mendoza. It happened when they were inspecting a truck that had arrived from Chile with an imported load: they found two undocumented Colombian citizens hiding at the end of the container.

Sources in the case reported that it was the Uspallata Integrated Control Area (ACI) that detected the illegal entry. It happened during import transport review controls.

This is how the two Colombian suspects hidden in the truck’s cargo area were detected: they were covered with bedspreads at the end of the container and the lid of the vehicle, the sources consulted indicated.

“Subjects without documentation that identifies them would be illegally entering the territory without any endorsement from Migration, for this reason the collaboration of the Gendarmerie was immediately requested,” the researchers explained.

Thus, the Gendarmerie was in charge of notifying the corresponding authorities of the discovery, “for the purpose of evaluating their deportation,” they expanded.
