We already announced it, but now the time has come: the recordings of House of the Dragon season 2 have started.
HBO reports that the first takes are a fact at Leavesden Studios in the United Kingdom. This large film complex is known for the Harry Potter films, among other things. At an earlier stage it seemed that the shooting would start in Cáceres (Spain), which was already used as the central location for ‘King’s Landing’ during the production of the first season. At the moment it is not (yet) clear whether the two locations have switched places in the production schedule, or whether filming will also take place (simultaneously) in Spain in the very short term.

Ryan Condal, co-creator, creator and producer of the series, said in a statement that “House of the Dragon has returned”:
We look forward to shooting again with members of the original family as well as new talents both in front of and behind the camera. All of your favorite characters will soon reassemble at the tables of the Great Council, marching their armies and taking their dragons into battle. We can’t wait to share what they have in store
