Five people, including the gunman, were killed in a shooting at a bank in Louisville, Kentucky, on Monday. Nine others were injured. It is the second shooting incident in the United States this year.
In downtown Louisville, a gunman opened fire in the Old Bank of Louisville. In doing so, he suffered several fatalities. During the shooting, the gunman had turned on a live stream.
The police quickly arrived and shot the perpetrator dead. Two police officers are among the injured. One of them is seriously injured, police said.
The motives of the perpetrator have not yet been released. The man was 23 years old and a former employee of the bank. He was not known to the police.

Number of privately owned firearms in the US breaks world record
About 10 kilometers west of the scene of the shooting in Louisville, a man was shot dead with a firearm on Monday. That happened after a shooting that took place at an educational institution in downtown Louisville. The perpetrator is on the run.
Shootings are an almost daily occurrence in the US. According to sources, almost a third of the inhabitants, more than 100 million people, are openly in possession of a firearm.
But according to estimates, there are 120 privately owned firearms per 100 residents in the US. That would be a world record.
