The governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, referred to the “unpublished” characteristics in which —from his point of view— the crime of the bus driver took place in La Matanza and raised doubts about it: “It seemed like the robbery of a armored and what did they take? a bag and a backpack.
The provincial president thus described the fact in which the worker Pedro Daniel Barrientos was assassinated on Monday morning with a shot to the chest, as part of a robbery that caused commotion. “The circumstances in which the cold-blooded murder of the driver occurs is not doubtful, it is practically unprecedented,” Kicillof insisted.
Then, during an interview on C5N’s Minute One program, the governor described the event: “The bus comes, a support car crosses it and two people with very high-caliber weapons get in for what is usually a robbery of a collective. It looked like the robbery of an armored car and what did they take? a bag and a backpack. Then they murdered the driver at point blank range.”

“Undoubtedly it is necessary to investigate with the Justice and through the Police of the province, which has already found two people. One is confirmed that he is responsible. We must investigate thoroughly to understand what happened,” insisted the Buenos Aires president.
In his statements —about the characteristics of the crime— Kicillof also focused on opposition officials in general and the president of the PRO in particular: “This does not seem like a robbery of a collective. In a bus, at that hour of the morning, you are not going to find enough loot to have that display. It looked like an armored robbery, but they took a backpack. It is very strange and that is where all the issues begin, because I have to say it: a couple of days before, Patricia Bullrich had been talking about the safety of the buses. You don’t have to go through with this because you have to investigate thoroughly but hey. “One turns on the lights in the face of all these issues,” she insisted when speaking of a state of alert in that context and insisted: “There are several doubtful things.”
