Thousands of faithful Christians and members of the clergy participate in the traditional Catholic procession on Palm Sunday.

Thousands of faithful Christians and members of the clergy participate in the traditional Catholic procession of the Palm Sunday.

The faithful carried palms and olive branches and marched from the top of the mount of olives until the historical Old City of Jerusalemwhere the holy places of the three Abrahamic monotheistic religions are located.

“The importance (of this day) is enormous because we are Christians and we want to show the whole world that we are here and that we are celebrating after 2,000 years the same day, the same procession, and the presence of all of us is very important today.” says Evelyn, a Guatemalan resident in the Holy Land since 2009 and a pilgrim guide.
