Audrey Hale, 28, who shot and killed six people at a Nashville elementary school, had a detailed plan of action. The police found that plan, a map of the school and a manifesto in Hale’s house.
The police do have “a theory” about the motive, but are not making any statements about it at the moment.
The shooting took place Monday morning (local time) at a Christian elementary school in the US state of Tennessee. Six people, including three nine-year-old children, were killed. The shooter was a former student, though it’s unclear how long Hale attended the school.
Hale was a transgender person, the police chief said after questions from reporters. More is not clear at the moment.
Hale entered the building by shooting at a door, according to police. In addition to the three children, three employees aged 61 and 60 also died. No one else was injured.

Biden calls on Congress to pass gun law
The shooter was shot dead by officers on the spot. Hale was armed with “at least two assault rifles and a handgun”. It is clear that two guns were legally owned by the shooter.
The manifesto would show that Hale had planned shootings in several places. The map of the Nashville school is very detailed and includes security and access information.
The New York Times writes that very rarely a female gunman is behind a shooting with more than four victims. Since 1966, that has only happened four times. Hale was registered as female, but was a transgender person and allegedly used male pronouns.
US President Joe Biden has called on Congress to act against gun violence in response to the deadly shooting. “Because enough is enough,” Biden said.
