Some 30% of primary school teachers will be on strike on Tuesday, according to an estimate released the day before by the Snuipp-FSU, the leading union in nursery and elementary schools. This estimate, lower than the previous one, is explained according to the union by “the days of mobilization which follow one another and become a financial sacrifice for the teachers”. “There is also a concern on the part of teachers not to penalize children and parents at the last moment,” explained its general secretary, Guislaine David.

For the last day of mobilization last Thursday, the Snuipp-FSU had anticipated the day before between 40 and 50% of primary school teachers on strike. The Ministry of Education announced that day a rate of striking teachers of 23.22% in primary and 19.61% in secondary (middle and high schools).

♦ A tenth day of mobilization against the adoption of the bill of pension reform by the government of Elisabeth Borne is organized this Tuesday, March 28, at the call of the unions. As a reminder, the last day of strike brought together between 1 and 3.5 million demonstrators in the country, according to figures from the Ministry of the Interior and the CGT.

♦ Traffic will again be very disrupted in transport. SNCF has indicated that 1 out of 5 TGVs and 1 out of 2 TERs will run. In Paris, only one out of two RER A and B will be in circulation, while the disruption on the metro lines will be less.

♦ Several events are organized throughout France. The Marseille procession will set off at 10.30 a.m. from the Old Port, as will the processions from Montpellier and Nantes. The Lyon parade will leave at 1 p.m. from the Manufacture des Tabacs while in Paris, the meeting is given at 2 p.m. Place de la République, as in Strasbourg. A journalist from La Croix will be present in the procession of Moulins (Allier).
