The life of a professional soccer player usually presents similar characteristics: fame, money and a very active social life, product of the events, commitments and friendships that tend to be generated in a group over time. However, this is not the case for young Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies.

The 22-year-old left-back often uses his official Twitch account to live stream his gaming sessions while interacting with his fans, but this time he decided to open up to his fans what his life is like off the pitch.
“It’s a bit worrying not having something to do, especially when all your friends have jobs,” acknowledged the Ghanaian player with Canadian nationality, adding: “Life as a professional footballer is great to relax and enjoy. But after training there is nothing to do”.

After his family fled the African country because of the civil war in Liberia, Davies arrived in Canada at the age of five and began playing soccer for the Vancouver Whitecaps, where he reached the First Division at the age of 16. After spending two more seasons there, Bayern signed him, he moved to Germany and became a key player for the Teutonic team.
However, since his arrival in 2018, the player seems not to have had a good adaptation and assured that, “since I don’t have a family and my girlfriend doesn’t live with me, I’m alone. I probably have like five friends. I’m a popular loser.”

It should be noted that, despite starting from a very young age, he still has a long way to go in his professional career to continue forming links in the old continent. Even recently, it was Real Madrid that laid its eyes on him and has several offers in the event that he wants a change of scenery.

Meanwhile, Davies already has a new manager following the departure of Julian Nagelsmann. From now on, the Canadian will be under the orders of Thomas Tuchel, who will formally present him this Monday with a key match against Borussia Dortmund ahead.
“I couldn’t have a bigger challenge,” said the former Chelsea manager, who will also face Manchester City in the Champions League quarterfinals ten days later.
Once it became clear that Bayern wanted him to take over immediately, Tuchel realized that he “started directly against Dortmund and with an international rest before.”
The German coach has not worked in the country since 2017. His only trophy obtained was the German Cup with Dortmund. He now returns with two league titles, with Paris Saint-Germain, as well as the Champions League and the Club World Cup with Chelsea.
