From the early hours of sunset this Saturday, the wedding party of the national deputy María Eugenia Vidal and the journalist Enrique “Quique” Sacco takes place. The PRO leaders closest to the former governor are present at the celebration, who, along with her new husband, chose to hold a more intimate and family celebration.
The party is held at the El Rosario ranch in San Antonio de Areco, in a relaxed and relaxed format: there are no tables with an established order and diners can sit in different living rooms distributed throughout a large green space. On the list of less than 100 guests are the names of Mauricio Macri, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, Cristian Ritondo, Federico Salvai, Carolina Stanley, Emmanuel Ferrario, Darío Nieto and Alex Campbell —among others—, with whom the legislator shares a greater affinity. On the other hand, neither Patricia Bullrich nor Elisa Carrió received an invitation, as Infobae was able to learn.
Vidal and Sacco said yes last Thursday at the Civil Registry located on Uruguay street in the city of Buenos Aires, after almost four years of relationship. With a low profile, they attended accompanied by Agustín and Luna, the children of the journalist with Débora Pérez Volpin —Sacco’s ex-partner who died while undergoing an endoscopy—, and by Camila, María José and Pedro, the children of the deputy with Ramiro Tagliaferro, former mayor of Morón.

The recent marriage became known in August 2019 when he was invited to the Mirtha Legrand program, in the middle of the campaign of the then Buenos Aires president for re-election.

On March 22, it is worth remembering, the legislator held a meeting with Macri, who still shows ambiguous signs regarding his intentions to run again to succeed Alberto Fernández. It was a meeting alone at the house of the former head of state in Acassuso, where they shared a breakfast that lasted almost two hours in which the PRO leader told him about the assembly of his campaign, his vision regarding the internal JxC and their next tours. For her part, Macri propped her up so that the former governor continues with her candidacy.

Meanwhile, with Rodríguez Larreta, Vidal has maintained a friendly relationship for years. Currently, both compete in the strong presidential internal of Together for Change, also starring Bullrich. However, unlike the head of the Buenos Aires government — who attended the wedding with his girlfriend Milagros Maylin — the former security minister did not receive her invitation card.

According to a study carried out by Julio Aurelio Aresco’s consultant, Vidal appears three points behind the president of the City of Buenos Aires with 7% in voting intentions. For his part, Rodríguez Larreta reaches 10.3%, while Bullrich leads the podium of the PRO leaders with 14%.
Another of those absent from the evening is Elisa ‘Lilita’ Carrió. “She is not invited, neither she nor anyone from the Civic Coalition,” sources from the space reported to this medium.
At the end of the celebration, the former governor of Buenos Aires will take four days off. Later, she will resume her tours of the country: in April, she plans to visit Entre Ríos to show herself together with Rogelio Frigerio, PRO’s candidate for governor. She also wants to go to the province of Buenos Aires, where she seeks to start an intense journey with Cristian Ritondo, her candidate to dispute the governorship of the territory currently led by Axel Kicillof.

Darío Nieto, a Buenos Aires legislator and secretary of the founder of the PRO, was one of the guests at Vidal’s girl’s table. The official, close to the former president, joined the campaign in February to be the federal political coordinator of the Vidalista project, a role played by Ritondo until last year.

Also, Federico Salvai, former chief of staff of the province of Buenos Aires, is one of the guests at the party along with his wife Carolina Stanley, who held the position of Minister of Social Development of the City from 2011 to 2015.

The first vice president of the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires, Emmanuel Ferrario, arrived at the ranch in the afternoon, one day after resigning his candidacy for head of government of Buenos Aires. As Infobae learned, the decision was made known after the meeting between Mauricio Macri and Horacio Rodríguez Larreta at the Tenis Club Argentino, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo.

The former Minister of Finance of the Nation, Herán Lacunza, attended the wedding with his wife. The economist has maintained a close relationship with Vidal for years, after being part of his cabinet in the province of Buenos Aires in 2015.
