Actress Reese Witherspoon is getting divorced after almost twelve years of marriage | Backbite

Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth are getting divorced. The American actress and the talent manager were married just a few days after twelve years.

“We have some personal news to share…,” the couple wrote in a personal statement owned by People. “It is with great care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to separate. We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and move forward with deep love, friendship and mutual respect for all that we have created together.”

The 47-year-old actress from, among others, the Legally Blonde series and the 52-year-old talent manager indicate that their biggest priority now is the care of their ten-year-old son Tennessee James. The couple therefore asks that the privacy of the family be respected at this time.

This is Witherspoon’s second divorce. In 2008, she divorced actor Ryan Philippe, whom she had been married to since 1999. From that marriage, Witherspoon has two children, Ava Philippe (19) and Deacon Reese Philippe (23).
