The vehicle, for which no one has yet claimed and which accumulates more than 40 unpaid fines
A white Hyundai Creta van that covered the garage exit of a building on 2100 Pacheco Street, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Villa Urquiza, and was vandalized -the parking prohibited symbol was spray-painted on the hood and the word “Garage ” (sic) at the doors on the left side – disappeared today from the forbidden place. It should be remembered that, for the same reason, a few meters from there, on March 2, a pilot received four stab wounds from a neighbor and, five days later, died.
The case was known this Wednesday before noon and, as the hours passed, the mystery of the white van grew. The vehicle, for which no one had claimed throughout the day, according to sources in the case to Infobae, and which accumulates more than 40 unpaid fines; it continued to obstruct the entrance to the parking lot of one of the buildings on the block at night.
As this medium was able to learn, after complaints from the neighbors, City Police officers went to verify the fact, but they did not find the owner of the truck. “No complaint was filed either,” sources from the Buenos Aires Justice and Security portfolio confided to this outlet. Consulted, from Commune 12, they assured this medium that they had not received any comments in this regard. The truth is that the truck was in violation and until late Wednesday the tow truck had not taken it away. However, early this Thursday the vehicle was no longer in the place and now the question is another: who moved it from there?

It all started this Wednesday at noon, when a neighbor noticed that a wrongly parked white Hyundai Creta had been vandalized with black spray. “Tough”, she wrote in a group that she shares with other people who live in the same area of Villa Urquiza. To that she added a couple of images. In them you can see the escrache to the offender: a drawing of the symbol of prohibited parking on the hood and the word “Garage” (sic) written on the left side, from door to door.

It is not the first time that the white truck has committed an offense of this type. On January 3, the owner left the car parked on Arribeños street at 2,100, in Belgrano’s Chinatown, in a space reserved for a person with disabilities. For the crime, a report and a fine of $15,438 were drawn up, which he still owes.
The foul history of this “ghost driver” is unusual. To date, the owner of a white Hyundai Creta registers a total of 42 unpaid fines: 35 of them are for speeding, and the remaining seven are for parking in places reserved for people with disabilities or prohibited “in an improper or illegal manner.”
For the violations, the total owed amounts to more than half a million pesos. To be exact: $568,633.

Until last night, the vehicle continued to obstruct the entrance to the building’s garage and in the same place where it was vandalized. At the moment, it is also not known who spray painted it. But the story added a new chapter in the last hours, because this morning the truck in question was no longer in the prohibited place. It is still a mystery if the vehicle was removed by the Buenos Aires authorities, or if the driver in charge echoed the news and decided to move the car to another site.

The intersection of Olazábal and Pacheco, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Villa Urquiza, has become dangerous in recent weeks. On March 2, also for leaving a car obstructing the exit of a garage, a neighbor stabbed another and killed him.
The victim, later identified as Juan Ignacio Graña, a 38-year-old pilot, died after five days of hospitalization at the Pirovano Hospital. The assailant, Pedro B., 20, who lives on the block where the incident occurred, was arrested by the City Police.
Police sources told Infobae that the discussion occurred at 9:20 p.m., when Graña left his 4X4 vehicle, a black Dodge RAM brand, in front of a disused parking lot. After a brief discussion, in which the assailant told him that he had to move the vehicle because it covered a ramp, the owner of the truck tried to ignore him and continued on his way. He was not willing to relocate his car, especially at a neighbor’s request.
