Quebecers will have to take advantage of the generally sunny weather on Wednesday, while the weather conditions could deteriorate on Thursday with freezing rain in the south-west of the province and rain and snow elsewhere.
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the Lanaudière, Lachute – Saint-Jérôme, Haut-Gatineau – Lièvre – Papineau and Pontiac sectors.
“We expect 2 to 5 millimeters of ice during the night from Wednesday to Thursday as well as Thursday morning,” the federal agency said on its website.
In Greater Montreal, rain is expected with pleasant temperatures of 6 degrees, while snow will be invited to areas a little further north.
A good snowfall is also expected in the areas of central and eastern Quebec, from Saguenay to Bas-Saint-Laurent and the North Shore where the mercury will drop.
In the meantime, Wednesday will be mostly sunny with clouds in some areas, but temperatures will be seasonal.
