Just days before the premiere of John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023) Lance Reddick passed away last week. On the red carpet, star Keanu Reeves reminds his co-worker, “Lance was a wonderful person.”
“Fucking that he’s gone”
Reddick reprises his role as janitor Charon in the fourth installment of the John Wick franchise. Reeves says during the premiere that he will miss his opponent enormously.
Lance was a wonderful person, [een] extraordinary artist, a man of grace and dignity, and such a passion for his craft. And to have the chance to work with him for 10 years and four movies is something that’s very special to me and it fucking sucks that he’s gone.

Chapter 4 dedicated to Reddick
Director Chad Stahelski also honors the deceased actor: “If you let someone who is so close die so suddenly, it is always difficult. He was a great man, a great person.” The latest action film about hitman John Wick is also dedicated to Reddick. At the premiere, the audience gave a standing ovation in honor of the Charon actor.
