The chaotic group of friends consists of Emily in Paris (2020– )-ster Ashley Park, Sherry Cola (Good Trouble (2019– )), Sabrina Wu and Stephanie Hsu, who starred in her Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) managed to get an Oscar nomination. The cast also includes Ronny Chieng, Lori Tan Chinn, David Denman, Annie Mumolo, Desmond Chiam, Alexander Hodge and Chris Pang. Joy Ride is directed by Crazy Rich Asians (2018) writer Adele Lim and written by Cherry Chevapravatdumrong & Teresa Hsiao.
