Despite having worked for the government of the so-called “Fourth Transformation” (4T) for more than four years, Bertha María Alcalde, one of the 92 finalist candidates to reach the General Council of the National Electoral Institute (INE), refused this Saturday to be a militant of Morena.

Leaving her interview with the Technical Evaluation Committee (CTE) in the Chamber of Deputies, the sister of the Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS), Luisa María Alcalde Luján, and daughter of the former leader of Morena, Bertha Luján, she assured that she does not belong to any political party, and that, in the event of being elected as an electoral adviser, she would not be impartial, as opponents and analysts have warned.
“I have never really been an active member of any political party. I am convinced of the importance of the impartiality of an electoral referee. I know that if an arbitrator is not impartial, that weakens the State, and I, honestly, never, and I said that in the Committee, would play a role in history in that way “

“It is very important that we distinguish many times between the family and between the trajectory, I have my own professional and academic trajectory, I have never been an active member of any political party and I think the important thing is to see what you have shown? How have you performed? In positions, in general what you have worked for, and I have worked not only with this administration, ”he emphasized.
