Gerard Sanderink has been suspended as CEO of construction company Strukton and engineering firm Oranjewoud with immediate effect. Sanderink can no longer make decisions on behalf of the companies mentioned, they write in a statement.
The Supervisory Board takes over the management from Sanderink. The companies made the decision “after a period of incidents involving Mr. Sanderink”, they write.
“The Supervisory Board will rely on the expertise, knowledge and continuous commitment of the management and employees of the companies.”
Sanderink has been in the news for some time because of private conflicts that are fought out in public. As a result, he had to leave earlier as the highest director of the IT company Centric he founded, the Enterprise Chamber of the Court of Appeal in Amsterdam decided in November last year.
In September it was announced that Sanderink, together with former Strukton board members, is suspected of bribery in Saudi Arabia.
In addition, Sanderink has a fight with his former lover Brigitte van Egten. He broke off his relationship with her for Rian van Rijbroek, a self-proclaimed cyber expert. Since Van Rijbroek has been in Sanderink’s life, he has been fighting a legal battle with Van Egten.
