Worrying situation in Punta Hermosa due to huaico
The intense rains due to the passage of Cyclone Yaku near the coasts of Peru have been wreaking havoc in different locations in Metropolitan Lima. After the activation of a ravine in the district of Punta Hermosa caused the fall of a large accumulation of earth, mud and water that crossed the main streets of the resort to the mouth of the sea.

Desperate residents placed sandbags at various points in the district, however; could not stop the intense current of muddy water that entered some houses, sports complexes and common areas. On social networks it was possible to observe a group of young people who were playing soccer on a sports field, got trapped and could not cross into the neighborhood.
According to Punta Hermosa TV, in the eastern area of Santa Rosa, more people were trapped due to the violent passage of the muddy water current. Likewise, the collapse of some walls and retaining walls of some parks of the spa could be seen. Several people who were trying to cross the stream were helped.

Given the intensity of the landslide, the authorities have asked the inhabitants to avoid approaching the area of the landslide, since there is a great danger of being swept away by the current of muddy water that has even entered some of the houses of the residents of the resort.
