André Hazes (29) declares love on Instagram on Sunday to Monique Westenberg (45), the mother of his son André Jr. With a black-and-white photo in which the two give each other a kiss on the mouth, the singer writes that his heart is “forever” with her and says he loves her “even longer”. The two have had an on-again, off-again relationship for years.
“You have always given me more love than I deserved. You were there in good times, and never let me down in bad times. You always saw that there was still good in me when I doubted it myself,” writes André, who made his comeback on stage during the concert series Holland sings Hazes this weekend after struggling with a burnout and drug addiction.
The message shows that Monique and their six-year-old son attended the concert series in the Ziggo Dome this weekend. “What I am most grateful for this weekend is that our little monkey looked up to a father who is who he is today. And I am thanks to your endless hope, support and faith.”
Hazes closes with loving words from which it can be concluded that the two are back together. “My heart is with you forever. And I will love you even longer.” He ends the message with a red heart. Earlier this year, Hazes told RTL Boulevard that he and Monique had found “a form” that “works very well for us.”
Westenberg already indicated last Friday that he was “fucking proud” of Hazes, after he made his comeback after a year and a half of absence on stage. According to her, the singer is “clear in the head” again and his voice is “better than ever”.
