FC Twente won an away game in the Eredivisie for the first time in five months on Saturday. The team of trainer Ron Jans was 0-3 too strong for Fortuna Sittard.
Twente did not have an easy evening in Sittard, but after Václav Cerny’s 0-1, Fortuna lost faith. In the 71st minute, Manfred Ugalde made it 0-2 and the Costa Rican was also responsible for the 0-3 six minutes later.
Twente’s last away win was on October 23, when SC Cambuur was defeated 0-1. After that, the club from Enschede did not win nine away games in a row and that series has now come to an end. In total, Twente has now converted three away games into a win this season.
