The United States Embassy in Mexico announced that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has opened an information line to collect photos and videos of the kidnapping and murder of Americans that occurred in Matamoros, Tamaulipas.

It was the afternoon of this March 10 that Oliver Rich, special agent of the FBI in the San Antonio Division, reported the creation of the Digital Media Information Line (DMTL) for its acronym in English.
The FBI enabled a web page so that people who have audiovisual material about the event in their possession can upload them, so that they can be subjected to analysis.

“Members of the general public will be able to upload their photos and videos for analysis by law enforcement authorities,” it said in a statement.
To share the images and videos, citizens must fill out a brief form in which the FBI requests the following information: name and surname, telephone number, and email address. Providing these data is mandatory.

Optionally, you can share a description of the material that you can contribute to the investigation, such as location and time.
You can upload a maximum of 4 files that in total cannot exceed 5000 megabytes (mb). In the event that the material exceeds this limit, it is necessary to call 1-800-225-5324 to receive instructions.
Likewise, people who have information that could be useful to clarify the case can share it anonymously with the San Antonio Division of the FBI by calling 210-225-6741 or on its official website.
The US investigation of the crime is being conducted by the FBI in conjunction with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Investigation (HSI) and other federal partners.
