Galilea Montijo announced her divorce from Fernando Reina Iglesias: “He will be my friend for life”

The host joins the list of hosts of the Hoy program, who announce their divorce live.

The rumors were true, Galilea Montijo confirmed that she separated from her husband Fernando Reina Iglesias after almost 12 years of marriage.

It was during the morning of this Friday, March 10, when the television presenter took advantage of the Hoy cameras to announce that, like her colleagues Tania Rincón and Andrea Legarreta, she is going through a separation process. Without going into details, she commented that both she and the former deputy concluded their love relationship on good terms, mainly for the well-being of their only child in common: Mateo.

We have a dysfunctional but very functional super family and of course the love of our children because Alexis and Claudio are going to be my children for life. Paola, her mother, today has become one of my best friends, Fer who will be my friend for the rest of my life.

In this way, Galilea Montijo hinted that she does not intend to lose communication with her now ex-husband, not only because of their common son, but also because she considers herself the mother of the children that the businessman had with Paola Cruz.

With her heart in her hand, Galilea Montijo confessed that among the qualities that won her over Fernando Reina, her facets as a father and ex-husband stood out, because when she met him, her first marriage had apparently already ended.

“If I saw something in him besides being a good dad, it is that he is a great ex-husband. He always gave me that example of dad being present even though he was not with his (older) children every day and that is how he will be with Mateo, who is our greatest treasure, ”he said.

He also warned that he will not talk about it anymore out of respect for both his now ex-partner and his son and stepchildren: “The only thing I want to tell you is that we are very well.”

It’s amazing that some people don’t understand this part that a separation can be civilized, that you can continue to be mom and dad without being a couple and that’s incredible. He will always be a great friend for life, his family, his friends, everyone, they know that I love them with all my love.

The people from Guadalajara took the opportunity to publicly thank the unconditional support they received from Andrea Legarreta and Tania Rincón since they shared their situations. And it is that the three star conductors of the morning are going through a similar situation, because during February and March they announced that their respective marriages ended.

“To share with you that in this process, that it is a very painful process, because it is a very painful process. In those in which we saw each other, just by seeing each other we wiped away our tears, just by seeing each other we cuddled our souls and I just want to tell you that I feel so accompanied and loved by you at this time; Mop women, workers, great moms that God gave us at this moment for a reason”, declared the woman from Guadalajara.

For many it could seem like a bad move and a bad joke and for me it has been comforting to go through this moment and this pain, with its different stories of course, but at the end of the day a pain, a process that we know that everything is fine.

But that was not all, Galilea Montijo and Fernando Reina released a press release in which they not only confirmed that they had separated several weeks ago, but also announced that they had concluded the corresponding legal process, that is, they are already divorced.

“The complicated stage that, like so many couples who lived through the COVID-19 pandemic, caused differences between us. After conscientious reflection, and deep respect on both sides, we have agreed and filed a voluntary divorce by mutual agreement. We will always be a family. The affection remains and the love for our son, the engine of our lives, unites us ”, he reads in his press release.
