Homilies, decrees, speeches, messages, letters… so many documents signifying, since 2013, how much Pope Francis wants a fundamental reflection on the role of women in the Church and society: “In the history of salvation, c is a woman who welcomes the Word; and it is also the women who preserve the little flame of faith in the dark night, who await and announce the Resurrection. The joyful and profound realization of woman is centered on these two acts: welcoming and announcement. Women are the protagonists of an outgoing Church, through the listening and attention they show to the needs of others, and with a pronounced capacity to support dynamics of justice in a climate of “ domestic heat”, in the various social environments in which they operate” (October 1, 2020, message to the Women’s Advisory Council). The Catholic Documentation has identified some of them that can shed light on the thinking of Pope Francis.
