In Volendam, things got out of hand between fans of both clubs yesterday after the match between FC Volendam and FC Emmen. Images circulating online show dozens of supporters fighting each other, including with bicycles.
According to the police, three officers have fallen victim to abuse by Emmen supporters. It is not clear what exactly happened and what their injuries are. One person has been arrested.
The footage shows that the brawl took place behind a block of houses. FC Volendam won the match at the bottom of the Eredivisie with 3-1 against FC Emmen.
