After so much uncertainty, Liga MX and the Government of Querétaro announced that the reopening of the Corregidora Stadium for the duel between Gallos Blancos against the Diablos Rojos del Toluca, corresponding to Matchday 10 of the Clausura 2023, will still not house fans inside.

Gallos Blancos, Liga MX and authorities issued a joint statement indicating that they are working so that the fans return to the stands of the Corregidora Stadium no later than March 19 in the duel against FC Juárez.
“LIGA MX, the Government of the State of Querétaro and Club Querétaro inform that, jointly, they are working on the development of a comprehensive security plan for the total reopening of the La Corregidora stadium on March 19, with the purpose of to guarantee the well-being of the fans, ”they indicated.
The determination is that the match corresponding to Matchday 10, between the Querétaro and Toluca clubs will be played behind closed doors: “With this action, the League, the Government of Querétaro and the Club reiterate their willingness and commitment to work together in benefit of the great fans of soccer from Queretaro”, they added.

With information from ESPN México, Gallos Blancos would not have complied with the private security elements required by the government. To achieve 100 percent, 900 elements were needed and for the required capacity (40 percent) there were 500 elements. Although for the reopening before Juárez, Civil Protection authorized 40 percent of the public in the Corregidora stands.
It should be noted that the Disciplinary Commission of the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) had already given the green light for the Querétaro property to be reopened, after the request made by the team led by Mauro Gerk.
“The Disciplinary Commission informs that derived from a request made by the Club Gallos Blancos de Querétaro, it has been confirmed that the sanction imposed on said Club of playing behind closed doors for 1 year, for the events that occurred on March 5, 2022 in the match between the Gallos Blancos de Querétaro and Atlas Clubs, has been fulfilled,” Liga MX reported in a statement.

The Corregidora Stadium would reopen its doors after the one-year ban by the MX League as a result of the acts of violence between the Querétaro and Atlas bars, which caused 29 injuries and 72 linked to the process.
Based on the premise that the Albiazules will be able to receive their people from matchday 12 of this Clausura 2023, the club’s followers will be able to see their team during five regular season matches, although with a slight hope of seeing them in the final instances of the tournament, because after 9 days, they are in the penultimate position of the table with only five units, product of five draws.
