On the afternoon of March 2, a multiple crash was recorded in which at least 10 cars were involved. The incident occurred in the Benito Juárez mayor’s office, on Río Churubusco avenue, at the height of the Mixcoac drop.

Preliminary reports suggest that the accident was caused by the driver of a water pipe, who allegedly lost control due to a mechanical failure in the brakes.

Members of the Mexican Red Cross, members of the Heroic Fire Department, elements of the Secretariat for Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection, as well as personnel from the Secretariat for Citizen Security and Protection arrived at the scene.

The accident caused a traffic cut on Río Mixcoac and Félix Parra, so motorists are recommended as alternative roads Anillo Periférico Blvd Adolfo López Mateos and Eje 8 Sur Popocatépetl.
