The state of Nuevo León won the front page in the national press after businessman Elon Musk announced the installation of a Tesla plant, the electric car giant, in the municipality of Santa Catarina; this will be the third outside the United States and the first in Latin America.

As if that were not enough, Governor Samuel García pointed out this Thursday in an interview for Radio Formula that Musk’s intention is not only to invest in Nuevo León for the manufacture of cars, but also to produce batteries and chips for planes and ships.
According to the president emanating from Movimiento Ciudadano (MC), Tesla will arrive with a whole technological ecosystem that will turn Nuevo León into a world home for electromobility, which opens hope for other businesses of the American magnate.
“They did not say it in detail, that this is the first phase just to (manufacture) the economic car. But around that phase and that factory also comes the entire ecosystem such as Starlink (internet), SpaceX (aeronautics), and a world of Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers that are going to bring a spill never seen before “
“They are all conglomerated, they are together. Software, automation, artificial intelligence, all this is going to arrive and it will be a watershed, of that news that occurs every 50 years”, he highlighted.

Regarding the gigafactory, García Sepúlveda assured in an interview for ADN40 that it was a project that several countries fought for; However, Musk found favorable conditions in Nuevo León due to the already existing automotive industry, skilled labor, energy sufficiency, and interconnectivity, since it will be located between Libramiento and Periférico.
“In addition to arriving with all that technology and knowledge transfer, it does not pollute and does not use water. We are talking about Tesla asking the state for a maximum of 80 liters per second of treated water. Nuevo León has three thousand liters of treated water, because we have been making treatment plants for years”

Finally, he said that as of February 2, Musk began sending his “army” to the northern entity to begin construction of the plant, because they want to break the record in their assembly time, which is held by the Shanghai plant, in China, with which it took nine months

But, although he mentioned that the state government is a facilitator, some fertility and permit issues still need to be closed.
The plant in Santa Catarina joins those in Reno (Nevada), Buffalo (New York) and Austin, in the United States; as well as that of Berlin (Germany) and Shanghai. Among the models that will be produced in Mexico are the Semi tractor truck, the revived Roadster sports car and the Model 3 sedan.

This company was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk as part of his ideas to take the human race into space and eventually establish communities on other planets. “We do not want to be a species on a single planet, we want to be a species on multiple planets,” said the businessman after the launch of a Space X space mission.
This company has become the first private company to recover a ship previously sent into space, in addition to sending astronauts to the International Space Station, among other achievements.
Part of his projects involve the establishment of a satellite connection to the Internet thanks to the Starlink constellation, a series of satellites that began to be launched into space and whose purpose is to bring connectivity to the whole world at low cost.
The United States approved Elon Musk’s project to provide broadband through satellites
It is a network of orbiting communication satellites developed by SpaceX. The main idea on which Sterlink revolves is to provide high-speed Internet connectivity around the world, as it is specially designed for areas where Internet is limited or non-existent.
The strategy is based on having around 12,000 satellites in orbit in which people can then pay a monthly subscription to be able to connect from anywhere with any device.
It is not intended to compete against companies that offer fiber or 5G connections, but rather to be another complement. These satellites orbit at an approximate altitude of 500 km above the earth that have an intercommunication providing connectivity for high-speed Internet.
