By date 9 of Brazil – Carioca Championship 2023, Lele scored two goals in the victory of V. Redonda by 4 to 0 as a visitor against Bangú. The away goals were made by Pedrinho (4′ 1T), Lele (49′ 1T and 51′ 1T) and Berguinho (44′ 2T).
A great play by V. Redonda, 49 minutes into the first half, was the one that moved the score thanks to Lele. With a pass from Wellington Silva, the forward defined the ball with a header to put it in the right post of the rival goal.
Luis Felipe created danger after 55 minutes of the second stage, but his shot ended up hitting one of the posts and Bangú could not discount.
