By date 9 of Brazil – Carioca Championship 2023, Lele scored two goals in the victory of V. Redonda by 4 to 0 as a visitor against Bangú. The away goals were made by Pedrinho (4′ 1T), Lele (49′ 1T and 51′ 1T) and Berguinho (44′ 2T).
A great play by V. Redonda, 49 minutes into the first half, was the one that moved the score thanks to Lele. With a pass from Wellington Silva, the forward defined the ball with a header to put it in the right post of the rival goal.
Luis Felipe created danger after 55 minutes of the second stage, but his shot ended up hitting one of the posts and Bangú could not discount.
The best player of the match was Lele. The Volta Redonda attacker scored 2 goals and shot into the opposite goal on 2 occasions.
Pedrinho also stood out in Proletário Guilherme da Silveira. The Volta Redonda attacker scored 1 goal and shot at the opposite goal 2 times.

Bangú’s coach, Felipe Loureiro, proposed a 4-4-2 formation with Matheus Santillo in goal; Carlos Eduardo, Adryan, Patrick Souza and Gabriel Feliciano on the defensive line; Renatinho, Adsson, Samuel Siedschlag and Edinho in the middle; and Luis Felipe and Marcos Calazans in attack.
For their part, Rogério Corrêa’s side took to the field in a 4-4-2 scheme with Vinícius under the three sticks; Wellington Silva, Alix Vinicius, Sandro and Ricardo Sena in defence; Bruno Barra, Dudu, Luciano Naninho and Luizinho in midfield; and Pedrinho and Lele in the forward.
Referee Wagner Magalhães was in charge of supervising the game at Proletário Guilherme da Silveira.
On the following date, Bangú will face Fluminense at home, while V. Redonda will play Madureira as a visitor.
