Motorcyclists cut the Buenos Aires – La Plata highway in demand for Justice after the crime of delivery
Workers from different delivery applications carried out a total cutoff on the Buenos Aires-La Plata highway this Monday afternoon to demand greater security measures after the crime of Danilo Mercieri (20), who was murdered on Saturday afternoon by criminals that his motorcycle was stolen in the Buenos Aires town of Bernal, Quilmes district.
The cut was made, after 3:00 p.m. on Monday, at kilometer 16 of the highway and caused serious traffic delays on both hands. The cars, noticing that the three lanes were blocked by motorcycles, circulated on the shoulder.
The protest began this morning, in front of the Quilmes Departmental Headquarters, then continued in the Bernal Triangle and, finally, settled on the highway.
“We are here for Danilo because the Police, instead of protecting you, come and take money from us. We feel unsafe. You live in fear that they will take your motorcycle and cut your job. Where they have to be, they are not. There are areas where we cannot take orders because it is no man’s land”, said one of the motorcyclists who participated in the cut. “We want Mayra (Mendoza, the mayor of Quilmes) to come and explain why the Police are only in the center and not in the most uninhabited areas,” he demanded in dialogue with TN.

When the police recover them, no one goes to jail.”
