Senators have until Sunday, March 12 midnight to decide, but the government can choose to go beyond this period.
Even if the Senate does not vote on the text, a joint committee of seven deputies and seven senators will be convened. It can agree on a text which will again be submitted for second reading to the two assemblies.
These have until midnight March 26 to vote for reform.
