The timetable for reform

Tuesday, February 28. Beginning of the examination of the amending Social Security financing bill before the Senate’s Social Affairs Committee.

From Thursday March 2. Discussion in plenary session in the Senate.

Senators have until Sunday, March 12 midnight to decide, but the government can choose to go beyond this period.

Even if the Senate does not vote on the text, a joint committee of seven deputies and seven senators will be convened. It can agree on a text which will again be submitted for second reading to the two assemblies.

These have until midnight March 26 to vote for reform.
