Juego de Google Quick Draw (Experiments with Google)
The technology behind artificial intelligence can be used in different devices to add additional functions such as face recognition, voice cloning, image generation, among other features. Despite the fact that most of its applications are related to content generation, it can also be part of the development of games and other entertainment platforms for people.
Google has developed a game that applies artificial intelligence to guess what people draw on the screen of their devices, whether on cell phones, tablets and computers in less than 20 seconds. In addition, this software created by the American company is responsible for compiling each drawing made by users to identify common elements between them and improve their response time.
To play with Google’s Quick Draw platform and interact with the artificial intelligence, users will need to go to the app’s webpage “quickdraw.withgoogle.com”. Once inside the site, people will see a message stating that in addition to being a form of entertainment, this app is also part of research dedicated to understanding how AI machine learning works.

The web page is simple and has few buttons, so any user can understand how to start each of the games. At the beginning, each person receives a random word that they will have to draw in less than 20 seconds. With each stroke made with your finger or cursor, Google will try to guess what each person draws based on previous drawings. While this may take several tries, sometimes the AI guesses the drawing right away.
Each game in this game includes six words and, therefore, six drawings that the user must complete. The only ways to move on to the next one is for Google’s artificial intelligence to guess what each one represents, or for the 20 seconds per round to run out. In either case, since there are no points in the game, there is no penalty, increase or decrease in difficulty. The words shown are usually easy ones like “dog”, “cat”, “square” or “circle”.
As each round unfolds and users draw, a computer generated voice will tell the user what the drawing they are drawing looks like. In the event that the user has finished and the AI does not identify what object it is, it will continue trying until it succeeds or fails due to lack of time.

At the end of the six rounds, people will be able to see a compilation of the drawings they made along with the hits and misses of Google when trying to guess each one. In the case of not having recognized one or more, the system will let the user know with a final message.
Users will also have the option to press or click on any of the drawings to find out how artificial intelligence related each one to another with similar characteristics that were produced by users of the platform around the world. In case of errors in the identification, the system will also show the drawings of the words whose representation has been closest.
