The Afsluitdijk has been fully reopened to traffic after a fault on the bridge at Den Oever. The A7 between Hoorn and Heerenveen was closed in both directions for more than half an hour.
The bridge could no longer be closed due to the malfunction, the ANWB reported. Initially, the traffic service expected that the Afsluitdijk would be closed for at least an hour. The technician quickly rectified the fault.
