The bus driver accused of having killed two children by rushing into a daycare center in Laval will know Friday morning if he is fit to appear.

Pierre Ny St-Amand was subjected to a psychiatric examination at the Philippe-Pinel Institute in the last few days and will be back in court at the Laval courthouse to find out the results.
His lawyer, Me Julien Lespérance Hudon, had made the request last Friday during his previous appearance.
The mental state of the accused would then have been deemed too unstable by the defense for him to be able to appear before the judge, we learned.
Pierre Ny St-Amand faces two charges of first degree murder, as well as charges of aggravated assault and attempted murder of the occupants of the daycare.
On February 8, around 8:30 a.m., the driver of the Société de transport de Laval drove into the Garderie Éducative Ste-Rose. The little Jacob Gauthier, 4 years old, and Maëva David, 5 years old, lost their lives there.
