Meta is struggling with declining advertising revenues and is therefore looking for other ways to earn money. It is therefore starting an experiment with a subscription of 11.30 euros per month. The paying users get protection against identity theft, direct access to customer service and more visibility.
With ‘Meta Verified’, which CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced last week, the company mainly targets influencers and other professional users. Earlier, Snap (Snapchat Plus) and Twitter (Twitter Blue) also launched similar paying optional services.
